Funeral director. Owner of Berg's Funeral Chapel, which was located at 1936 University Avenue, Berkeley, California. His father became involved in the furniture and undertaking business and he did as well, coming to California in 1911. He served as a Berkeley city councilman and also as a Deputy Coroner of Alameda County. His brothers were the editors and publishers of the 'Pacific Coast Undertaker' magazine established in 1914, which in 1926 became 'Mortuary Management' magazine, a well respected trade journal which continued to be operated by his nephew until 1975 and its publication did not cease until 2014.
