Con was an active member of the LDS Church and served in various callings, including a mission at the Sigurd LDS Bishop Storehouse. He married his sweetheart, Jannett Louise Liston, on June 27, 1955 in Evanston, Wyoming. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
Con enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1950 and served during the Korean conflict. He was honorably discharged in 1954 achieving the rank of Seaman First Class. He was a trained barber, boiler maker, and welder. He worked at Kennecott Copper for almost 30 years and for the LDS Church for 10 years. Con was proud to be a U. S. Veteran.
In 2004, Con was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and was told that he would not live beyond a couple of years. However, blessings from above allowed him to live many more years. Please support cancer research where you can.
Con was preceded in death by his father, LaVar Anderson; mother, Edith Virginia Memmott; sister, Claudine Dabling; brothers: Thomas Fay and Norman LaVar Anderson; and son-in-law David Vaughn Crook.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 10, 2018 at 12 Noon in the Aurora 1st Ward Chapel, where friends may call from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. Additional visitation will be held Saturday, August 11th from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. in the Hunter Stake Center, 3737 South 5600 West, in West Valley. Graveside services will be held in the Valley View Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
