Graveside Services will be held on Monday, August 6, 2018 at 10:00 AM at New Velma Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
Donald George Jacobs was born on February 3, 1931 in Marlow, Oklahoma to Roma R. Jacobs and Georgia A. (Gibson) Jacobs. Donald served his country by joining the United States Air Force in 1951. After his service time, he went to work for Clark Oil Company working as a Yard Supervisor before retiring in 1984. He married Linda Kay Smith in 1979 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Donald enjoyed flying bush planes when he was younger and RC planes in his retirement. He enjoyed traveling around the country and camping with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Linda Kay Jacobs of the home; his daughter, Donna Briscoe of Velma, Oklahoma; his son, Richard Jacobs of Walters, Oklahoma, his stepdaughters, Glenda Lowery of Ardmore, Oklahoma and Tammy Ray of Lake Tapps, Washington; his stepson, John Davis of Calliham, Texas; his sister, Marry Adkinson of Duncan, Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; four great- great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Jacobs; his daughter, JoRene Norton; his brother, Floyd R Jacobs; and his parents, Roma and Georgia Jacobs.
