THOMAS - Paul E., 89, Hollsopple, died June 10, 2017 at Laurel View Village. Born October 5, 1927 in Hollsopple, PA, son of Webster and Ella (Blough) Thomas. Preceded in death by his parents, brother Charles and his wife Florence (Eash), brother Leon, brothers-in-law James Dillon and Clayton Moser, and son-in-law Robert McKool. Survived by his wife of 69 years, Norma (Thomas) daughter of the late Levi and Maggie (Sala) Thomas and their children, Sharon and husband Myles Shetler, Hollsopple; Carol McKool, Johnstown; Larry and wife Debra (Malloy), Hollsopple; Dennis "Spike" and wife Sandra (Wilson), Davidsville; and Quenna married to William Smith, Davidsville. Survived by grandchildren, Dr. Jeffrey Shetler and fiancé Dr. Heidi Mostoller, Jonathan Shetler, Cory and wife Abigail (Johnson) Shetler, Steven LaRocca, Jeremy Thomas, Brett Thomas, Kylee and husband Matthew McGlynn, Shaun Smith, Maggie Smith and 6 great-grandchildren. Also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Kathleen (Eash) Thomas, Robert Paul and wife Norma Thomas, Rhoda Dillon, Bernadine and husband Edward Alderfer, Arlene Moser, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. Paul was a member of Stahl Mennonite Church since their marriage in 1948. He and his wife were proprietors of Paul's Service Center in Tire Hill where he worked as a diesel mechanic for many years. He retired from Tri-County Motor Sales as shop foreman. Paul's hobbies were tinkering in the garage and rebuilding diesel engines and old pick-up trucks. Paul and Norma enjoyed touring the country in their camper. Friends will be received on Thursday, from 2-4 and 6-8 at Stahl Mennonite Church and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Stahl Mennonite Church with Pastor Wes Yoder and Chaplain Jeffrey Bassette officiating.
