SZARUGA, Joseph A. "Joe" Age 87, of Kettering, Ohio, formerly of Germantown, Ohio, passed away Friday, May 26, 2017. He was born in Belmont County, Ohio on June 10, 1929 to the late Anthony and Anastasia (Gesky) Szaruga. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. After his graduation from the Ohio State University in 1953, he was employed at the Inland Corporation in Dayton. He donated his body to Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A. (Fread) Szaruga, brother, Martin Szaruga, and sister, Anna Szaruga. Joe is survived by his sons, Stephen (Angela) Szaruga, Michael (Elizabeth) Szaruga; three grandchildren, Alexander (Jaclyn) Szaruga, Phillip Szaruga, and Erin Szaruga; his brother-in-law, John Fisher; his nephew, Douglas (Julie) Fisher and their daughter Kasie; and his niece, Katie Fisher. A Memorial Mass will be held for the family. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of choice.
