Mary's marriage record for Washington Co., AR gives her name as Mary Walker. I am making this change to her records until all can be completely verified. I feel that Mary was a HAMBY but....Census records indicate that she was born in either Indiana or Illinois so, this is also conflicting. All stories and records indicate that Mary was a Cherokee Indian. DNA testing of two direct males is coming back "No Native American" which, is quite confusing.

Mary married Robert Caviness in 1840 in Washington Co., AR. To this union were born these known children: Stephen "Steve", William Henry, Nancy Ann Gentry, Jasper "Jap" Nuation, James "Jim" Newton, Mary G., Fanny Ann, Helen Louise Denzia, Alice Victoria and Edward Wallace Caviness.
