Note:

Cecil Adams, Sheridan, Illinois, descended of Thomas Jefferson Adams (1787), state; remember hearing my father (Charles Ditchen Adams) say John Charles Adams, FATHER of Thomas Jefferson Adams (1787), came to Boone County, Kentucky with an ox cart from Pennsylvania;. And James Walter Adams, Richmond, Indiana, grandson of Thomas Davis Adams (1824), 7th child of Thomas Jefferson Adams (1787), as a boy lived with his grandmother, Lucretia Creacy (Adams) Adams, wife of Thomas Davis Dee Adams (1824). Creacy told him that The father of Thomas Jefferson Adams (1787) came down the Allegheny River (Pennsylvania), thence to Kentucky by ox cart between 1800 and 1810; that he settled at the present site of Covington, Kentucky, and that he was killed at a barn raising on the site of present Cincinnati by having a log roll over him.

Note:

John Charles Adams Jr. came to Kentucky with his father (John Charles Adams Sr.) and two of his brothers, Thomas and Robert G. Adams. They eventually settled in Pendleton County Kentucky. Most of the family line stayed in Kentucky to this day.

Note:

In 1806 John Adams met with an untimely death. A granddaughter, Lucretia "Creacy" Adams, stated "that he was killed at a barn raising on the site of present Cincinnati by having a log roll over him"
