He was a member of the Teamster’s Union. Enjoyed bowling and playing sheepshead. Even though he had a stubborn streak, he was a generous man and was willing to help anyone who asked for it. While not a man of many words, we knew he loved us all in his own way.
He is survived by daughters Wendy (Don)Schlieve, Sherry (Steve)Walters, Lisa (John) Connerton, 5 grandchildren Tabitha, Donny, Samantha, Katie, Alyssa and 5 great grandchildren Cody, McKenzie, Hailey, Teagan, and Shane. Also survived by his 3 sisters Irene, Arlene and Delores and 2 brother-in-laws Fritz and Milt with many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, of 47 years of marriage.
Visitation is Thursday July 26th from 3 – 5pm at the funeral home. Funeral service will follow at 5pm at the Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home Hartford. Rev. Scott Moore will officiate. Burial will be Saturday July 28th at 9:30am Central time in McLaughlin, South Dakota.
