Mr. McCorkle was a member of Highland Baptist Church in West Monroe. He retired from Tennessee Gas as a pipeline maintenance man after 34 years of service.
He was survived by his wife, Atha McCorkle of West Monroe; two children, Layne Cagle and husband J. L., and Jimmy McCorkle and wife Linda, both of Rogers, AR; one sister, Edith Cox of Eros; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
