Charles 'Charlie' Edward Alberthal passed away on June 26, 2018 at his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the age of 66 years. He was born on May 25, 1952 in Fredericksburg, Texas the son of Erwin and Josephine Duecker Alberthal.

Charlie married Kathie Stone on July 15, 1995. They loved their pets and traveled when they could.

Charlie was a bartender at The Point Sports Bar in Colorado Springs prior to his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Kathie Alberthal of Colorado Springs; step son Patrick Breden and wife Michelle of Rochester, New Hampshire; step grandson Ryan Breden of Rochester, New Hampshire; his mother Josephine Alberthal of Fredericksburg. Two Brothers and a sister-in-law, David and Diane Alberthal of San Antonio and Mark Alberthal of Boerne and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister-in-law Tammy Alberthal.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, July 19th at 10:00am at the Fredericksburg Funeral Home with Pastor David Priem officiating. A reception followed at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Colorado Springs Humane Society, 610 Abbot Lane, Colorado Springs, CO 80905 (or online at https://www.hsppr.org/springs/celebrate-someone-special), Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg or the charity of your choice.
