Sherran Elizabeth Reif, 68, of Pinehurst, North Carolina, was welcomed into the healing arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on May 23rd, 2018, while surrounded by her loved ones.
Sherran was born June 29th, 1949 in Washington, D.C. to Elizabeth Morton Hyde and Calvin John Gingrich. She married her husband, Mark Randall Reif, in April of 1973, after which they began raising their family together.
Sherran was deeply devoted to her husband, two children and maintained that same devotion and care for her grandchildren as well. She provided the support and structure upon which the entire family depended. She loved her family unconditionally and she will remain in their hearts forever.
She also shared her artistic gifts with all she knew whether with a gourmet meal, handmade decorations, clothing or original artwork. Many in the community knew her best for her business Cakes by Sherran where she created beautiful masterpieces for numerous occasions.
Family members continue to cherish her memory. They include her husband, Mark, of 45 years, daughter Sherie Beth Wilson, son Christopher Reif, her grandchildren Elizabeth Grace & Luke Wilson, and Calvin & McKenzie Reif. She is also survived by her father Calvin Gingrich, brother John Gingrich, sister Patricia Frye, and youngest brother David Gingrich.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 30th at 3pm at the Village Chapel, Pinehurst.
