Frances was the 7th of 10 children born to William Dudley and Lily Mae (Jackson) Digges. In 1912, her parents sold the family farm in Triplett and the family moved to Poplar Bluff. On June 24, 1922, Frances married James Urless Connis in Poplar Bluff. After their marriage, they moved to Searcy, Arkansas. In 1926, they moved back to Poplar Bluff. During their marriage they had 3 children:

Wallace Lee
(12/07/1932-9/10/1999)
Frances and James retired in Poplar Bluff and remained there until their deaths.
