Naomi (Ahart) Darnell, age 78 of Joplin, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018. Naomi was born April 19, 1940 to William and Ida (Barnhart) Ahart in Eldon, MO. She had previously worked at Kassabs Dress Store in Joplin and was an esthetician. Naomi also volunteered at Mercy Hospital. Naomi married Ted C. Darnell June 20, 1986 at Calvary Baptist Church in Joplin and he preceded her in death September 22, 2016. She is survived by her daughter, Misti Scott and husband Curtis of Carl Junction; sons, Jim Darnell and wife Beverly of Temple, TX and Tim Allen and wife Sylvia of Eldon, MO; 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and sisters, Joyce Connel and Durane Pendleton. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Simpson Funeral Home in Carl Junction. The family will be present for a visitation the hour prior to service from 1:00 pm until the service time. Burial will follow at the Carl Junction Cemetery.
