Husband Dies; Wife and Daughters Ill With Flu

Pneumonia which developed from influenza caused the death of Matthew J. Buzynski, a resident of Platte county for many years, at his home six and a half miles east of the city last Saturday morning. His wife and two daughters, Margaret and Catherine, were ill with influenza at the same time, and were unable to attend the funeral services.

Mr. Buzynski was born in Russia seventy-seven years ago. He came to this country fifty-five years ago, and resided for some years on Shell Creek before moving to the farm east of the city where he had made his home more than a quarter of a century.

Besides his wife, he leaves two sons and six daughters – Frank, of Monroe; Walter, of Columbus; Mrs. Mike Jasweic and Mrs. Joe Rosmus, of Platte Center; Mrs. A. Krzycki, of Genoa; Mrs. Frank Pfeifer, of Columbus, and Margaret and Catherine, at home.

Funeral services were held at St. Anthony’s church Monday morning at 9 o’clock, with burial in the Catholic cemetery.
