After 75 years of mortality, Lois Cuthbert Zdunich passed peacefully into the next life on November 26, 1999, following a courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease).
Lois is now rejoicing with her husband Joseph Edward Zdunich, several other family members, friends and her Heavenly Father.
Her life began in Brigham City, Utah on January 11, 1924 when she was born to Leonard and Sarah Cuthbert. She attended school in Bingham Canyon, and graduated from High School later in life at the age of 52.
On May 2,1940 Lois married Joseph Edward Zdunich in Evanston, Wyoming; that marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Lois was a loving mother and wife who gave completely of herself to all those who loved her.
Lois unselfishly devoted herself to raising two of her grandchildren for five years. She worked in the Electronics Industry in a number of different capacities and positions.
Mom was a long standing member of the Midvale Ladies Community Club. Lois was also a member of the FOE Ladies Auxiliary Lodge #659.
Mom and Dad enjoyed bowling and dancing, especially the Polka. Lois maintained continued contact with past school mates and friends from the Bingham Canyon area and regularly attended reunions and social gatherings.
Lois is survived by her three children, Richard (Kathy), Claudia Z.McKay, and Kerry J. (Connie); two brothers, George (Elaine) Cuthbert and Leon (Monica) Cuthbert; one sister, Amy Blaney; 14 grandchildren; Husband of 38 years.
Mom was married to Willard E. Stott from 1986 to 1995.
In Mom's final days she found comfort and enjoyed time with her dear friend, Luana Maxfield.
The family would also like to extend our gratitude to Mom's Hospice nurse and friend, Marty Jones.
We all wish to express and extend our love and appreciation to Shauna Johnson for her tender care and devotion in her grandmother's final six months of life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lois' name to the Hospice Organization.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where friends may call Monday, 6 - 8 p.m. and Tuesday, 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
