Husband of Martha Bathurst, son of John Pletcher and Barbara Schenck.

Served in Company D, 45th Regiment PA Infantry in the Civil War.

11/19/1897 - Friday - Emanuel PLETCHER died on Friday morning in Howard. He was a soldier of the late war and was 66 years 11 months and 12 days old. Burial was made in the Schenck Cemetery. He leaves one son, Edward of Brooklyn and three sisters, Miss Sarah and Mrs. Annie PETERS of Howard, Mrs. WETZLER of Milesburg and one brother, Joseph of Eagleville. He served under Curtin from August 1861 to August 1864.
