Another Soul Called Home.
~ Mr. Alexander V. Jolly, son of Mr. and Mrs. R.M. Jolly, of this city, died at the home of his parents last night at 11:20 of typhoid fever. He had been sick about three weeks. Mr. Jolly came home from Atlanta, where he was employed, about three weeks ago, having contracted his illness in that city. All that loving hearts and tender hands could do to relieve the suffering was done, but the ravages of the disease could not be stayed. Mr. Jolly was twenty-three years of age. He was a quiet and unassuming young man who possessed a remarkable trait of self-reliance. The sympathy of all Cherokee county will go out to the bereaved family in this their sad hour. The interment will take place this afternoon at Grassy Pond burying ground. The service will be conducted by Rev. Arch. C. Cree, of the First Baptist church of this city.
