Mrs. Bridges Taken by Death At Spartanburg
~ Mrs. John W. Bridges, 81, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday in a Columbia hospital.
~ She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard M. (Uncle Dick) Jolly, of the Grassy Pond section of Cherokee county. She had lived the greater part of her life in Spartanburg where she was a member of the First Baptist Church choir and the T.E.L. class of the Sunday school.
~ Funeral services were held Friday morning at the M.W. Bobo Funeral Chapel in Spartanburg with the Rev. W.T. Tate officiating. Interment was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens at Spartanburg.
~ Mrs. Bridgs is survived by three daughters, Mrs. O.A. Kottman, of Charlotte, Mrs. A.J. Lynch, of Rocky Mount, N.C., and Mrs. J.E. Berry, of Athens, Ga.; a son, John W. Bridges, Jr., of Ninety-Six; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
