Bertha Elizabeth Epperson, 80, was called to Heaven June 20, 2018, surrounded by family, in her Marion, Kansas home. Bertha was born to Erma (Kipp) and Fritz Benteman on January 25th, 1938 in Frankfort, Kansas and was one of 14 children. Bertha was employed at Coleman-Evcon-York Industries for 30 years where she worked on the furnace production assembly line in a predominantly male laden industry. She enjoyed camping on the reservoir, baking (her famous cinnamon rolls and bread), shopping trips to Et Cetera with her daughter, and most of all, spending time with her beloved children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her calendar was marked full of special dates for immediate and distant family alike, and she never missed the opportunity to mail a card for every occasion.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Fred Epperson; her children, Harold (Kim) Epperson, David (Susan) Epperson, Charlotte (Chris) Coleman; 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; brothers Frank Benteman (Ann), Lee Benteman (JoAnn), Milton Benteman (Kathy), and George Benteman; sisters Mable Beem (Bill), Martha Mullins, and Florence Kennedy.

She is preceded by brothers Norman Benteman, Fritz Benteman, Joe Benteman, and Jimmy Benteman as well as sisters Susie Parmentier and Erma Mondt.
