Adam Nies, a Well Known North Side Man, Dies.
Adam Nies, a well known resident of the North Side, died at his residence, No. 1904 McBride street, at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Mr. Nies was 75 years and 10 months of age. He was born in German in 1823 and came to this country in 1850, when he established a business as a stone contractor. This he managed until his death. He had lived on the North Side for nearly fifty years. Mr. Nies was well known throughout the city and was a member of Lincoln Lodge No. 180, I. O. O. F. Besides his widow he leaves two daughters, Katharine and Christina Nies, and one son, Adam F. Nies. Private funeral services will be held at the family residence at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Members of Lincoln Lodge have been asked to attend.
