Funeral services for Troy L. Lake, 95, the Dotson Community in Panola County, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 27, 2007, at Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with the Bro. Dale Walker and the Dr. P.A. DuBose officiating. Burial will be in Mount Bethel Cemetery near Gary with Brother Calvin Hancock officiating under the direction of Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home. Mr. Lake died Wednesday, April 25, 2007. He was born on April 13, 1912, in Panola County to Walter Columbus and Annie Cora Griffith Lake. Mr. Lake had lived in Panola County most of his life, where he was a farmer and rancher. He was a member of the Northside Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Theda Lake of the Dotson Community; four sons, Troy Lynn Lake of Gary, Walter Lake of Longview, Joe Lake of Henderson, and Maxie Lake of Gary; one daughter, Judy Stuart of Carthage; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. Pallbearers will be Dwain Lake, Brad Lake, Chad Lake, Jeremy Stuart, Trae Stuart, Kevin Lake, Kyle Lake, Steve Strain, Allan Preddy, and Jason Steele. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. If desired, memorials may be made to Mount Bethel Cemetery Association, c/o James Grafton, 825 West Sabine Street, Carthage, Tx. 75633.
