Jeffery McAllister, 60 of Canton passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, June 27, 2018.

Born in Bridgeton, he was the son of the late Lewis McAllister and Ruth Halter McAllister and the husband of Christina E. Roberts. He had lived in Canton for 25 years and prior to that had resided in Cohansey.

Jeff had been employed as a custodian at Cumberland Regional High School for 14 years. Before that he had worked at Mannington Mills.

He was an all around sportsman especially deer and turkey hunting and enjoyed baseball and the New York Yankees. His passion was tracking eagles in the area including their population and nesting habits.

In addition to his wife of 41 years, Christina, he is survived by five siblings, Jean Johnson of FL, Wayne McAllister and his wife Ida of Stow Creek Twp., Gary McAllister and his wife Karen of MD, Diane Lang and her husband Carl of Elmer and Debbie Marino and her husband Salvie of Shiloh; sisters in law, Lela Roberts of Vineland and Lisa Tatmon-Roberts of GA and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was predeceased by a brother, Glendon "Shug" McAllister; brothers in law, Leo Johnson and Tye Roberts; a sister in law, Pat McAllister and mother and father in law, Lela and Jess Roberts.

Memorial services will be held at the Canton Baptist Church, 700 Smick Road, Salem on Monday, July 2nd at 11 am. Friends will be received at the church from 9 to 11 am Monday prior to the services. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Township. Arrangements are under the direction of the Padgett Funeral Home, Upper Deerfield Township.
