Widow of John Key, married 12 September 1806 in Franklin county, Virginia. According to the will of John's father, they were still living in Virginia as of 1 August 1807, but the book, "Key and Allied Families" stated they moved to Montgomery county, Ohio "about 1805". John died 5 October 1815 near Beavercreek, Greene county, Ohio, aged 34 years. Phebe was said to have been 90 years old at her passing, but some sources list she was in her early 80's. She was the mother of five children: Mary, wife of Thomas Maulsby; Rachel, wife of Basil Wagoner; Martha, wife of Abner Billings; James Hansbrough Key, husband of Rebecca Jackson; and John Key Jr., born after the death of his father, the husband of Newlilly Lucas and Anna Rhineheart. Burial in this cemetery was referenced on page 240 of the aforementioned Key family history.
