Funeral services for Milo Charles Maris, 79, will be at 3 p. m. Thursday at the Chapel of Breeland Funeral Home. Interment will be in Canton cemetery. He died early Wednesday morning at Madison county Nursing Home. He was a native of Illinois but had lived here for 43 years. He was a well known landowner and retired farmer. He was a member of the Christian Church but attended First Methodist Church here. He was a veteran of World War I, a Mason and member of the American Legion.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Susan Karn Maris, Canton; one son, Charles Maris, New Orleans; three daughters, Mrs. J. M. Cooper, Magee, Mrs. Frank Thompson, Canton, Miss Martha Maris, Seattle, Wash.; eight grandchildren.
