Mary L Cooper, 84 of Magee, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Magee General Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee with burial in the Magee City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00p.m., Saturday, February 16, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cooper was a member of First Baptist Church of Magee where she worked in the daycare for a number of years. She was a member of the Lela McRaney Chapter 301, Order of the Eastern Star since 1951.
Mrs. Cooper is survived by her son: David Michael Cooper and wife, Brenda; daughter: Betty Carol Boutwell; grandchildren: Jason Michael Cooper and wife, Heidi and Carolyn Nicole Thompson and husband, Bryan; brother: Charles Maris and wife, Kitty and sisters: Martha Maris and Druscilla Maris Thompson and husband, Frank.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Milo Charles Maris and Susie Karn Maris and husband: James M. (J.M.) Cooper.
