Thompson, Ann F. M. – 96, died at home on May 23, 2011. A lifelong resident of Halifax she was the daughter of John P and Mary Camilla (Meyer) Thompson. She is survived by sisters Dorothy Campbell, Halifax, Cecelia Bruno, Arizona and 21 nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by siblings Jack, Mary, Cyril, Jim, Emma Haverstock, and Kay Carroll. She was employed for over 40 years by Northern Telecom, was a Telephone Pioneer and a long time member of Administrative Professionals International. She was captain of the first girl guide company of St. Mary’s Parish, a member of the Halifax Ski Club and the St. Thomas Aquinas Tennis Club. A funeral Mass will be at St. Agnes Catholic Church (Mumford and Chebucto) on Friday May 27 at 10 am with a reception following in the church hall. No other visitation is planned.
