Mr. Lake Clifton Henson, age 80 of Mineral Bluff, GA passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at his home. He was born on Monday, February 23, 1931 in Mineral Bluff to the late Avery and Pearl Hughes Henson. Mr. Henson worked for Taylor and Jones Furniture Manufacturing as a cushion filler. He was a member of New Testament Baptist Church. Mr. Henson was preceded in death by his first wife, Vivian Harper Henson.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Dockery Henson; sons and daughters-in-law, Kimmy and Joy Henson of Cherry Log, GA and Ronny and Cathy Henson of Mineral Bluff, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Ricky Burnett of Blue Ridge, GA; step-children, Happy Spurling of Murphy, NC, Tracy Merrell of Calhoun, GA and Jason Phillips of Mineral Bluff, GA; sisters, Elsie Cross of Mineral Bluff, GA and Dorothy Garren of Mineral Bluff, GA; brothers-in-law, Charles Harper of Cleveland, TN and Melvin and wife, Eulene Harper of Mineral Bluff, GA; sisters-in-law, Martha Jane Henson of Blue Ridge, GA, Elsie Harper of Buford, GA, Mary Ellen Baker of Chattanooga, TN and Lillian and husband George Bailey of Mineral Bluff, GA; three grandchildren, Brian Henson, Sarah Burnett and Jason Burnett; thirteen step-grandchildren and one step-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from Akins Chapel with Rev. Scott Graves and Rev. Sammy Ledford officiating. Music will be by the A.C. Caylor Family and Ailene Griffin. Pallbearers will be Brian Henson, Jason Burnette, Shannon Spurling, Charlie Couch, Eliot Thornton and Tim Gray. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
