Dorothy E. Garren, age 84 of Blue Ridge, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Fannin Regional Hospital. She was born on August 24, 1933 in Mineral Bluff, GA to the late Avery and Pearl Hughes Henson. Mrs. Garren was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Garren; children, Shirley Shepherd and Gary Garren; grandson, Jeremy Garren; brothers, Herman, Cub and Lake Henson; sisters, Inez Davis, Elsie Cross and Zonel Henson.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 30, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. from New Liberty Baptist Church with Preacher Jimmy Dickey officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
