107th Pa. Inf.

Height 6'-2", Dark complexion,

Gray eyes, Dark hair

Wounded.

Taken prisoner at Bull Run.

Paroled at Annapolis.

"Said William L. Myers has not been able to do any duty since the Battle of Bull Run – Aug. 30, 1862 – growing rapidly worse and seemingly no hope of his getting better. I earnestly hope he may be discharged without delay."


"…Phithisis Pulmonalis [Consumption] attended with many emaciations and wasting of Muscular tissue. The said Myers will not be able to perform any military duty whatever." (from the National Archives Civil War Records)
