St. Joseph, Missouri, dated Feb. 6, 1901:
David Meyers, aged eighty years, died
at the county farm yesterday. He had
been an inmate of the farm for about
four years.

St. Joseph Gazette, 10 February 1901:
David Myers, aged 70 years, formerly
a well known printer in St. Joseph, was
buried yesterday at Oakland cemetery
from the county farm where he died
Tuesday of a complication of diseases.
He was an inmate of the farm about
four years. For eighteen months he
had been confined to his bed with rheu-
matism, and during all that time he
was unable to move. He was a widow-
er. Two sons, Benjamin F. and Ed-
ward Myers, live in St. Joseph.
Note:
Ashland bought Oakland land and made one
big cemetery. Oakland cemetery records got
lost in a fire in 1954.
