She was born on April 15, 1926, in Roxbury, WI, the daughter of George Frey and Anna Lochner. She married Charles Schepp on June 28, 1947 in Roxbury WI. At an early age, she moved to Madison, where she worked at Rayovac, cleaned houses and was a nanny. Tooty worked as a Homemaker and raised 10 children on the east side of Madison. She was a volunteer at St. Mary’s for 35 years, Port St. Vincent and Monona Hills. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Tooty liked to stay active as she was a member of Curves in Monona where she made many lifelong friends. She was a very caring and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and sister-in-law. After her own children were grown and out of the house, Tooty often cared for some of the neighborhood children. Tooty had a great sense of humor and had the ability to share a special connection with people. She enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre. Tooty was a great cook and baker. She was a woman with a strong connection to her faith. Tooty is survived by five sons, Richard (Donna), Randy (Debbie), Mark (Sally), Jeffrey (JoAnn), Chuck (Cindy); four daughters, Anne (Denny) Simon, Mary (Jay) Droster, Joan (Nathan) Gast, Katie (Brian) Bierman; six brothers, Bernard (Delores) Frey, Philip (Rita) Frey, Howard (Irene) Frey, James (Sybilla) Frey, Roman (Carol) Frey, David (Judy) Frey; daughter-in-law, Diane and a sister-in-law; Vernice.
