She was born September 26, 1911 in Koosharem, Utah to Ole Vest and Alta Brown Sorensen. She married Joseph Eldred "J.E." Christensen, July 3, 1936 in Junction, Utah. The marriage was solemnized December 16, 1938 in the Manti LDS Temple. He died April 5, 1987.Blanche was an active member of the LDS Church, where she taught Primary for many years. She was active in Relief Society and enjoyed doing temple work. She is survived by one son and one daughter, J Lane and Sharon Christensen, Klamath Falls, Oregon; Corrice and Hugh Ennis, Scottsdale, Ariz.; one stepdaughter, Nanette B. Jensen, Provo; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Newell (Mildred) Nielson, Greenwich, Utah. Preceded in death by husband; parents; three sisters, Lucille Hanchett, Virgie Rice, and Ada Bagley; three brothers, Clyde, Ralph, and Bert Sorensen.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 21, 1995 at 11 a.m, in the Richfield 7th LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary, 50 South 100 West, Monday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Koosharem Cemetery. Funeral directors, Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield.
