Olen E. Barton, 90, of Fordyce died June 23, 2018 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR.

He was born May 31, 1928 in Springfield, MO. He was a retired owner/administrator of Southern Nursing Home in Fordyce, a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Fordyce. Mr. Barton was a member of the Optimist Club and he also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Barton was preceded in death by his parents, Grover Cleveland Barton and Rena Belle Crabtree-Barton; wife, June E. Barton; four sisters; and one brother.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Barton of Fordyce; one son, Scott (Melissa) Barton of Sheridan; one daughter, Vicky (Rob) Meador of Mt. Juliet, TN; three sisters, Pauline Phillips of Belmont, CA, Maxine Walters of St. Ann, MO, Geraldine Barton of Alton, MO; three grandchildren, Michael (Kate) Meador of Louisville, KY, Braden (Kelly) Meador of Union, KY, Taylor (Christina) Meador of Nashville, TN; and two great grandchildren.

The funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church with Rev. Rusty Ross officiating. The burial services will follow at Stoney Point Cemetery.
