The funeral of Wm. Schmidt, who for 20 years had lived at Fond du Lac, took place yesterday morning at this city. He died on Sunday morning after an illness of about four years, a disease of the lower limbs. The body was brought to Mayville from Fond du Lac on the morning train and the burial took place at Graceland at 8:45 a. m. Rev. Frank B. Dunkley conducting the services at the graveside.

Wm. Schmidt was born at Denmark 81 years ago, and came to this country at an early age. After his marriage the Schmidt's made their home at Neda, living on the farm now occupied by Chas. Klick. 21 years ago Mrs. Schmidt died and was buried at Graceland. Soon after her death Mr. Schmidt and his family removed to Fond du Lac, where he lived until the time of his death.

He leaves behind him nine children, five sons and four daughters. We extend our sympathy to the mourning relatives.

The funeral of Wilhelm Schmidt, who lived in Fond du Lac for 20 years, was held on Wednesday morning in Mayville at Graceland Cemetery, conducted by Rev. F B. Dunkley. He died Sunday morning after a brief illness in Fond du Lac. He reached the age of 81 and came to America as a young man. The Schmidt family lived for many years at Iron Mountain on what is now the Carl Klick farm until his wife died 21 years ago, who was also buried in Mayville at Graceland Cemetery. He leaves nine children who mourn his death.
