Nina's father Andrew died when she was 5 years old and left a large family. Nina was the youngest child and her mother Sophia never remarried. They had difficult times. Some of Nina's older siblings were married and they tried to help their mother and as well as her sister, Mary who had married a brother to Sophia's husband. They tried to help out too.
Nina married Carl Christian Jensen 22 July 1924 and they had four children: Farrell, Colleen, Phil & Ramona.
