Henry Ross Bell Sr., 91, died Monday, June 18, 2018, at Chester Regional Medical Center. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 21, at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Greene officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday at Barron Funeral Home.
Mr. Bell was born May 20, 1927 in Chester, SC and was a son of the late James W. Bell and Annie Mae Gladden Bell. He was a graduate of Chester High School and was retired from springs industries of Chester County. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII as a First Sgt. Mr. Bell was a family man and enjoyed farming ,fishing and cabinetry. Mr. Bell was a member of Together As One.
He is survived by two sons; Ross Bell ( Leigh) of Sharon , Thomas Bell ( Becky) of Chester ; six grandchildren, Steven Bell, Lorey Bell, Matthew Bell, Roy Bell, Katie Bell, Emily Bell; two great grandchildren, Noveli Slater, Mary Elizabeth Bell; one sister, Ina Oates of Rock Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews. His caregiver Elizabeth Boyette.
Mr. Bell was preceded in death by one brother Robert Hamilton Bell and his wife of more than 58 years Marion E. Bell.
