He was born in Decatur. He attended the public schools of Bryan County. He was retired from working with the City of Pembroke. He was an army veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Groveland.
SURVIVORS: four daughters, Velvet Jackson of Belle Glade, Fla., Rita Hood of Ft. Belvoir, Va., Shandra Shuman of Pembroke and Jacklyn Johnson of Daisy; parents, Oscar and Hattie Foxworth of Pembroke; sisters, Violet Harden of Pembroke and Dorothy Boyd of Ellabell; a friend, Linda Shuman of Pembroke; four aunts, two uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
