Robert Anthony "Bobby" Barr, age 85, of Rhodelia, KY, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.
Bobby was born June 16, 1932 in Meade County, KY, son of the late Joseph Edward and Frances Gertrude Rhodes Barr. His brothers: Leon, Eugene, and Stephen Barr; son, John Wayne Barr; and grandson, Tyler Mattingly also preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving wife, Anna Rita Miller Barr; 6 children: Pat Barr, David (Myrna) Barr, Carolyn Barr, Teresa (Glenn) Mattingly, Barbara (Chris) Ballard, and Ron (Becky) Barr; 7 grandchildren: Nick (Whitney) Mattingly, Ethan Mattingly, Jacob Mattingly, Ryan Barr, Tim (Mindy) Padgett, Roger Nolen, and Lori Nolen; brother Frank (Margaret) Barr; and 2 great-grandchildren, Molly and Alex Padgett.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, June 4, 2018 at 11:00 AM EST at St. Theresa Church of Avila Church in Rhodelia, KY with burial to follow in St. Theresa Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 1:00 – 8:00 PM EST from the Chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home and Monday from 8:30 – 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
