Komma, Harry "Butch"

Harry "Butch" Komma passed away on May 25, 2018, in Pueblo, Colo.

Born in Nunn, Colo., Feb. 11, 1928, to the union of Frank and Hazel Komma. He was the eighth of 14 children.

After graduating from high school, he joined the Navy to see the world. Unfortunately, he let the Navy know he could type. So he was assigned to a desk at the Naval Bureau of Personnel in Bethesda, Md.

Butch worked at Public Service of Colorado for 34 years and retired in 1990.

He was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 55 years, Coleen; daughter, Kemla; sons, Greg and Brad (Carol); four granddaughters, Hannah, Hillary, Sarah, Megan; and two honorary grandchildren, Aislynn and Jobe; sisters, Rose Elder, Phyllis (Stan) Barfoot; two brothers, Don and Tom; numerous nieces and nephews; and wonderful friends and neighbors.

A Celebration of Life will be held at noon Saturday, June 2, 2018, at First Presbyterian Church, 220 W. 10th St., Pueblo, Colo., with a light lunch following. Dress casually.

In lieu of food and flowers, donations may be made to Sangre de Cristo Hospice and Palliative Care or The Smile Train.
