Died during childbirth (Uremic Poisoning) on December 16, 1941. Obituary below:

Mrs. Mae Rider Kaufman of 708 Magnolia Street, North Little Rock died at a Little Rock hospital at 9:55 am Tuesday. Her husband is Richard C. Kaufman a staff sergeant in the 206th Coast Artillery (later 8th Air Force 492nd/856th), anti-aircraft, stationed at Camp Murray, Wash. Other survivors include: An infant son; David Lee Kaufman; her parents Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Rider of Cabot; six sisters Mrs. Lee Allen of Springfield, O., Mrs. L.Cl Mustard of Watsonville, Cal., Mrs. Royce Lloyd of Memphis, Tenn. and Mrs. Robert Pennock, Miss Velma and Miss Melva Rider, all of Cabot; seven brothers, Eugene Rider of New York City, J.W. Rider serving in the navy, Sgt. Glenn W. Rider of Fort Scott Cal., Sgt. Charles H.Rider Jr. of Fort baker, Cal., Harry Rider of Maxwell Field, Cal., Harold and Rudy Rider, both of Cabot; her grandmother, Mrs. Betty Cook of Cabot. Funeral services will be held at the First Presbyterian church by the Rev. W.M. McInnis at 2 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery by Owens and Co. The body will be at the Owens and Co. parlors until the funeral hour.
