‎ ‎ ‎ ROSWELL — Services for Harry S. Allender, 82, of Route 1, Caldwell, who died Thursday In a Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at Sterry Memorial Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Raymond L. Wilson. Interment Will be at Roswell,
‎ ‎ ‎ Mr. Allender was born Jan, 17, 1890, In Fairfield, Iowa, and moved to Colorado when he was 15 He married Ellen Doyle in1914 in Shirland, Ill., and they homesteaded on Camas Prairie, They later moved to Illinois, before moving to Parma in 1921. They lived in the Parma area until Mrs. Allender died Aug. 11, 1944, when he moved to Caldwell. He married Bessie L. Samples Aug. 23, 1945, in Nampa, and the couple since had lived in Caldwell.
‎ ‎ ‎ He was a Member Of the Woodmen of the World lodge at Roswell.
Surviving in addition to Mrs. Allender are a son; Glenn Allender, Parma; a. daughter, Mrs. Nova Armstrong, Eureka, Calif.; two stepsons, Donald Samples, Grand Junction, Colo, and Paul Samples, Denver; Stepdaughters, Mrs. Inez Cooper, Belton, Mo., and Mrs. Doris Jens, Rupert; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
