Son of Samuel Ward Arrington, Sr. (1846-1877) and Sarah Jane Morse (1844-1921). He lived all his life in Salem, MA and never married. He was employed in a saw/lumber mill as a sawyer, wood carver, and wood moulder. His career in the mill paralleled his brother's (James). In the 1930 U.S. Census, James is listed in partnership with Samuel. It also appears that the brothers owned the lumber mill at some point. The brothers lived together until Samuel died in 1945. Samuel is buried in the large Arrington lot at Harmony Grove with his parents as confirmed by the cemetery office.
