Frank Walden Loveless died at 10.45 o'clock last night at the home of his parents. Capt and Mrs. S.C Loveless, 1821 Tippecanoe street from Tuberculosis.
He had been afflicted for over four years and had not been able to work for three years. His condition had been critical for weeks and he had been unconscious for four weeks. His vitality was remarkable and he made a brave struggle for life. Mr. Loveless was born in Lafayette on May 24, 1873, and after receiving an education in the schools of the city, entered the office of George Lowell, then superintendent of the Monon as a stenographer.
He was later appointed private secretary of Charles Rockwell, traffic manager. Of the Monon, in Chicago. After Mr. Rockwell's death and the abolition of the office of traffic manager, he became private secretary to O.C. Carter, general freight agents of the Monon, at Chicago, and held that position until ill health forced him to retire.
He is survived by a widow and two children, by his parents and by two brothers, Fred and Guy Loveless, of this city. He was a member of the order of Knights of Pythias and affiliated with Lafayette lodge No. 51. He was an expert stenographer and was a man of pleasing personality. He had many friends here and in Chicago.
