Betty Elaine Harding, 92, Attica, died peacefully on May 23, 2018 at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana.

She was born on July 4, 1925 in Veedersburg, Indiana to the late Raymond and Berniece (Leath) Rusk. She graduated from Veedersburg High School in 1943.

She would marry the love of her life, Leland Harding of Hillsboro, on November 10, 1945 in Tom Green County, Texas. Leland served in the U.S. Air Force, which allowed Betty to see the world. During his time in service, they were stationed many places, including England, Texas, New Mexico, Alaska and New York. He preceded her in death on April 8, 1991.

Betty leaves behind her children, Dan (Joan) Harding, Houston, Texas; Liz Lantzer, Warsaw, Indiana; Tina (Marty) Mickle, Columbus, Indiana; George (Gail) Harding, Kokomo, Indiana and Paul (Becky) Harding, rural Attica; grandchildren, Shannon (Ryan) Reznick, Evan (Katie) Harding, Lori (Todd) Jones, Laurie (Matt) Monroe, Kristy (Andrew) Lund, Ashley (Casey) Russell, Robyn (Dave) McCracken, Eryn Mickle, Jimmy (Corrie) Harding, Lee Harding, Roanna Harding, Gabby Harding, and Sam Harding; 17 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Barb (Carl) Roark, Davenport, Florida and Dean (Judy) Rusk, Lafayette; a son-in-law, Terry Gaul, Richmond, Texas and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Mary Snyder, Wreatha Weigle, and Wayne Rusk; husband Leland and her daughter Cheryl Gaul.
