William Thomas McNutt, aged 83 years, passed away at his home Friday morning at 8 a.m. after a short illness. He was born and reared in the Oakville community and had lived there all his life.
He is survived by four sons, James T McNutt and E W McNutt, of Falkville, Route 1; F E McNutt, Decatur, Route 2; D C McNutt, of Hubbard, Texas; by five daughters, Mrs Maggie Smith, Moulton, Route 2; Mrs Lucy Sapp, Danville, Route 2; Mrs Elsie Long, Danville, Route 2; Mrs Gertrude Lindsey, of Austinville; Mrs Nina Gillespie, Trinity, Route 1; also survived by a large number of grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the Bald Knob cemetery, with Bro S L Kitchens officiating. Interment followed there with Hightower, of Moulton, directing.
The following friends served as pallbearers: Garland Stevenson, Cluster Key, Will Hembree, Fred Folette, Arthur Callahan, J P Sullivan.
