Phyllis Irene Greene age 79, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Greene was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County and a member of Counts Chapel Church, where she served as secretary-treasurer of Sunday School. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Mrs. Greene was preceded in death by her parents, William “Bill” and Nettie Hale and a special aunt, Gertrude Morgan.

Survivors include her husband Kermit Greene of Clinchco; two daughters, Brenda Coleman (Rick) and Debbie Greene Mullins (Rick Bolling) all of Clinchco; five brothers, Larry Hale (Betty) of Warren, Michigan, Pete Hale (Jean) of Weidman, Michigan, Homer Hale (Debbie) of Hazel Park, Michigan, Conny
Hale of Hazel Park, Michigan and Gary Hale of Clinchco; four sisters, Elaine Sego of Corbin, Kentucky, Dottie Johnson of Columbus, Ohio, Letta McClellan (Buddy) of The Villages, Florida and Robin Mills, Springfield, Ohio; grandchildren, Autumn Lee (Spencer) of Nora and Cody Mullins (Lauren) of Clinchco; great-grandchildren, Cadence and Dilan Lee of Nora; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives.

A song service will be held Monday, October 9th at 7:00 pm in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends beginning at 6:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted by Carl Rose, Tuesday, October 10th, 1:00 PM at Counts Chapel, Nealy Ridge, Burial will follow in the Grace Cemetery, Nealy Ridge. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Mullins, Spencer Lee, Rick Coleman and Rick Bolling.
