Dorothy was born in a farming community in Milan, Missouri. She spent her childhood there with nine other brothers and sister. After graduation, she moved to Kansas City, Missouri, and went to work for Sears. Shortly thereafter, she met her husband, Ira Teeter, from Bucklin, Missouri. Mom loved anything to do with kids, gardening, and quilting.
Her husband preceded her in death in 2012.
Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Debbie and Jennie; three grandsons, Shannon, Jeff, and Ted; and four great grandchildren.
A private graveside will be held at a later date.
She will be greatly missed and very much loved.
