Harry Howard Beatty, son of the late Robert George Beatty and Dulcena Bonepart Young Beatty, was born August 16, 1911 in Oregon County, MO and died February 27, 1994 at Evergreen Care Center, Owasso, OK, at the age of 82 years, 6 months, and 11 days.
He was married June 17, 1934 at Alton, MO to Lucille Harrison.
Bro. Beatty was a well known Freewill Baptist minister for many years, and pastored several Free Will Baptist Churches in Oregon County, MO, as well as other areas. He was the first MO State Promotional Secretary of Free Will Baptist and served the capacity for several years.
He is survived by two children, Kenneth Beatty, and his wife Maurene of Tulsa, OK; and Gordon Beatty, and his wife, Celena of Springfield, WV; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and one (step)brother, Harold Dunsmore of Springfield, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lucille; five brothers, Charlie, Otis, Ralph, Ed and Herbert; and two sisters, Edith and Violet.
Funeral services were March 2 in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in West Plains, MO with Rev. Glenn Murray officiating. Interment was in Thayer Cemetery.
