She is followed in life by her children Gregory L Quire Sr. (Elizabeth) of Shepherdsville. Tisa Hammond (Gary) New Albany. Joan "Jodie" Quire of Paducah. Brent Quire (Leah) of New Albany. Stepdaughter Doris Thompson (Jerry) of Louisville. 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild and Her faithful feline companion Charlie. A host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and caregivers.
Jean was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. In her early years she attended a Congregation in Louisville, Kentucky. In 1969 Jean and her husband Vernie moved to a small farm in Indiana. They later retired and served as Pioneers in the Jeffersonville Indiana Congregation for many years. Jean had a strong love for her God Jehovah and relied upon her faith through many trials. She was a graduate of Louisville Girls School and an accomplished violinist. She worked for the B & O Railroad until her retirement. Jean resided at her Jeffersonville Indiana farm until this past year.
The Funeral Service will be held Monday, May 21, 2018 at 10:00 am at Evergreen Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday from 3 pm - 7 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral service in Evergreen Cemetery.
