Helen Jane Smith Searle, age 81, passed away July 22, 1999 at Cottonwood Hospital. Born Dec. 18, 1917 in Sunnyside, Utah to George and Emma LaVerne Naylor Smith. Married Allen Watkins Searle July 21, 1939 in Salt Lake City, the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away November 21, 1998.Active member of the LDS Church. Served as a Primary teacher and secretary, and also Relief Society and Young Women's secretary. Served many years as a Los Angeles Temple worker. Member of parent organization at the Utah State Training School. Devoted wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, and sister.

Survivors: daughters; Patricia (Dan) Gillespie, Jeri (Lyle) Hessing, Lori (John) Stockinger, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, brothers; Harold (Dorothy) Smith, and Leland (Joan) Smith. Preceded in death by husband, and son Michael Allen.

Funeral services Monday 11 a.m., July 26, 1999 at the South Jordan 5th Ward, 2580 W. 9800 S., where friends may call Mon. 9:30-10:45 a.m. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Funeral directors Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary.
